NTBI - Faq - Admissions

faq

How many campuses does NTBI have?

Two. There's one in Jackson, Michigan and another in Waukesha, WI.

What is the application deadline?

August 1st for the fall semester
January 1st for the spring semester

Do I have to send all the information at one time (references, physical exam form, photos, etc.)?

No, they can arrive separately, but we do need all the forms before we can accept a student.

What if I have debt?

It is the policy of New Tribes Mission that an applicant be debt free prior to entering the training. At the Bible school level, however, we are willing to accept an individual with a debt on the condition that the entire semester is paid up front.

We would require the same for each subsequent semester as well, provided the debt still remained. Please contact an Admissions Counselor with questions about your particular situation.

Are the campuses the same? How do I know which one to go to?

The two campus locations are very similar. The student body size is almost exactly the same and you'll get solid Bible teaching at either location. Though the city of Waukesha is a bit larger than Jackson, there's plenty to do at either place. Schedule a campus visit to find out for yourself!

How does New Tribes Bible Institute relate to New Tribes Mission?

NTBI is the first step in NTM's overall training program. As a mission we feel it is vital to send out missionaries who are adequately prepared for the task set before them.

The New Tribes Mission training program currently consists of three different phases, the first being NTBI. We believe that it is critical to establish believers in the fundamental truths of the Bible. Not only as it pertains to their ministries as they communicate and teach but also in their own relationship with God.

What are Missions Institute and Language Institute?

They are the third and fourth years of NTM's training. The purpose of Missions Institute is to disciple believers in the personal application of biblical truth and in cross-cultural church-planting skills. The goal of Language Institute is to provide training in language, culture and other skills necessary for cross-cultural ministry.

Why are the costs so low?

Virtually all of the staff at NTBI, from the physical plant department to the teaching staff, are missionaries with NTM. That means that they are not paid a salary, but rather are supported by individuals and churches. In this way, we are able to pass savings onto students as their costs go toward their room, board and general upkeep of the facilities.

Is NTBI accredited?

Although NTBI is not accredited, a number of Christian colleges and universities do accept our credits. For a list of those schools, click here.

What is your Dress Code?
