John Rower

"My trip to Papua New Guinea shattered all my unrealistic expectations of missionary life"
That is how John Rower, a December 2002 NTBI graduate, summed up his six-week experience at NTM.s Interface Program in Papua New Guinea.[www.destinationsummit.org]

John, who is originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan, had gone on several mission trips through his church to work with inner city youths in Mississippi and the Dominican Republic. John also spent time in Chile learning Spanish and in Panama with the Kuna Indians. The Interface trip, however, solidified his desire to be a missionary to unreached people groups. John describes his years at NTBI and his trip with Interface as "the most intense time of the Lord's teaching, with NTBI as the foundation.." He will spend the summer as a wilderness trip leader at Camp Forest Springs. John desires to attend New Tribes Missions Institute [www.ntm.org/train] in Baker, Oregon, and return to Papua New Guinea as a full-time missionary.
